MANILA, Philippines — Fil-Japanese Yuka Saso saved her best for last by carding a three-under 69 Sunday for a share of 12th place in the Meiji Yasuda Life Seimei Yokohama Tire golf tournament in Kochi, Japan.
Saso, who will be honored as the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Athlete of the Year this month, had four birdies against a lone bogey in the final round.
The 19-year-old had a 73 and 72 in the previous rounds but pressed her bid in the final 18 holes to finish with a 214 total (two-under) in a tie with seven others
