TUGUEGARAO CITY–The decomposing body of a 61-year-old farmer was discovered inside a nipa hut in Pinukpuk town, Kalinga province on Sunday (Nov. 21), police said.
Maj. Lee Alvin Alinao, Pinukpuk police chief, identified the farmer as Silvestre Ayyom, a resident of Barangay Bayao but worked as a farm caretaker in Barangay Camalog, both in Pinukpuk.
Initial investigation disclosed that the farmer’s body was discovered by his son and son-in-law who went to check on him after he failed to return home for several days.
