Where have all the moviegoers gone?

The 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival got off to a slow start, as moviegoers cited the lack of child-friendly flicks this year.

In a report by MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN on Christmas Day, movie fans also cited the rainy weather and the restrictions to eat inside the theaters as other factors that kept them away from cinemas.

The full report of ABS-CBN as posted on its Facebook:

There are eight movies at this year’s film festival. It will run until Jan 7, 2022.

Last year, the MMFF went digital because of the pandemic that restricted the public from going to the theaters. This year, the MMFF went back to movie houses.
