KaTropa storm back, smother Beermen SMB to take Game 3

MANILA, Philippines – The TNT Katropa erased an early double-digit deficit to beat San Miguel, 115-105, in Game Three of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday.

TNT now leads the best-of-seven series, 2-1.

Terrence Jones and RR Pogoy combined for 66 points in the win.

Foul trouble, including a Flagrant 1 on Jones for head butting Chris Ross, put the Katropa at a disadvantage early in the game.

At the end of the first quarter, the Beermen held a sizeable 33-18 lead. But TNT went on a scorching 24-0 run in the second canto to storm back into the game.

By halftime, it was KaTropa on top, 55-50.

With momentum on their side, TNT pulled away from the Beermen in the second half.

Despite efforts from June Mar Fajardo and Arwind Santos to take the lead back to SMB, the KaTropa were able to hold them off.

Don Trollano and Troy Rosario were vital in keeping the Beermen at bay.

Jayson Castro also came out big for TNT in the victory.

SMB will try to bounce back and even things up in Game Four on Sunday.
