Liza Soberano reveals taking welding course, making barbecue grill in HS
Liza Soberano once again proved to her fans just how down-to-earth she really is by revealing on Gandang Gabi Vice on Feb. 10 that she took a welding course back in high school.
Earlier in November, Soberano hearts on the internet when she showed no “arte” during a “What’s in a Box Challenge” that had her asking whether the cricket on her hand was a cockroach, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
This time, Soberano amazed Vice Ganda when she shared that she took a welding and electrical course during her first year in high school. The revelation happened while Vice Ganda was asking about Soberano and Enrique Gil’s latest film, “Alone/Together,” whose setting is the University of the Philippines Diliman.
Vice Ganda said in jest that he took the admissions test in UP back in the day. “Nag-exam ako dun dati, pumasa ako pero di quota course,” he told the two.
“I-kwento mo.”
“First year high school nag-aral po ako sa Pangasinan, per quarter po may ibang course na kailangan so yung first sem ko, welding,” a laughing Soberano told Vice Ganda.
When asked why she chose welding, she simply said that she did not want to take dressmaking.
“Ang taray siguro kung electrician mo sa bahay si Liza Soberano,” said an amazed Vice Ganda before turning to Gil.
