Celebrate International Margarita Day at home with these cocktail recipes

By Kristelle Bechayda

Feb. 22 is International Margarita Day, which means one thing: tequila! Even if life has been handing you lemons, just add salt, and shake the blues off. Don’t be bitter, toast life’s sweetness with a margarita, one of the most sought-after drinks around the world. A sweet and tangy concoction believed to have been invented in Beverly Hills by a bartender named John Durlesser in 1939, the margarita has evolved into the life of the party.

Renowned international tequila brand Patrón Tequila honors the iconic drink by sharing simple recipes of the Patrón Classic Margarita, Cucumber-Coconut Margarita, and Patrón Watermelon Basil Margarita. These require only a few ingredients to make.
