Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters marries former football star Tim Tebow
Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is now Mrs. Tebow.
The beauty queen married ex-NFL quarterback Tim Tebow in an intimate ceremony at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa over the weekend.
Steve Healing of The People wrote that during the 30-minute ceremony, the couple exchanged vows they wrote for each other.
“I want the vows to be perfect,” Tebow was quoted to have said. “I’m leaving in the traditional things like ’till death do us part,’ but I’m also adding some of my own things to it.”
The article stated that approximately 260 guests were seated on a secluded lawn surrounded by tall hedges at the resort. At approximately 5:30 p.m. South African time, Nel-Peters walked down the aisle in a custom-made gown from David’s Bridal accented by diamond and pearl earrings from Marion Rehwinkel Jewelery.
Tebow, on the other hand, wore a tuxedo tailored by the South African fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee.
On Instagram, Nel-Peters posted a photo, writing in the caption: “Forever and Always @timtebow.”
Tebow and Nel-Peters got engaged on Jan. 9, 2019 at his family farm in Jacksonville, Florida.
